for wellness founders who’d rather be remembered than blend in

Velari sets a brand the slow way — one drawn mark, one measured color, one chosen word at a time — so the young companies caring for people finally look as careful as they are.

on the shelf

the work of a studio that keeps its hands busy

Every identity leaves the bench as a full kit — mark, palette, letterforms, and a bound field guide. Here’s the shape of what we make for a clinic, a telehealth app, or a founder still working out of a spare room.

logo systems, not a single logo

A primary mark, a compact glyph for a favicon, a stacked lockup and a one-line version — all cut to hold together at 6pt on a prescription label and on a clinic wall.

palettes drawn from the room, not the trend deck

Colors mixed to feel like a clean, well-lit space — tested in daylight and on-screen before they’re named.

how it’s made

three passes at the bench, no shortcuts

01

the sit-down

Before a single shape, we spend a session learning your practice — who you treat, what they fear, the words a patient actually uses. Provenance first; the drawing comes after.

02

the drawing table

Marks are built by hand and refined in daylight, not pulled from a library. You see rough graphite before you ever see pixels, and you weigh in at every fork.

03

the handoff

You leave with a bound guideline, tidy files, and a live walkthrough — everything labeled so your next designer picks up exactly where we set it down.

the materials

four things every velari identity is built from

01

the mark

The logo system — a primary mark and its whole family, drawn to survive an app icon, an embroidered scrub, and a waiting-room sign without losing its nerve.

02

the palette

A working color set with print, screen and accessibility values, plus notes on where each tone earns its place. Contrast is checked, not hoped for.

03

the letterforms

A type pairing chosen and licensed for the long haul — display, body, and the small-print sizes a consent form actually lives in. Kerning notes included.

04

the field guide

A bound brand book — the rules, the reasons, and the do-nots — written plainly so a founder, a nurse, and a freelancer all read it the same way.

before you write to us

the questions founders actually ask

is a full identity worth it this early?

If you’re raising, hiring, or asking patients to trust you, yes. A scattered look costs you twice — once when people hesitate, and again when you rebuild it after launch. We build the pieces you’ll actually use now, so nothing gets thrown away later.

how long does an engagement take?

The Sapling runs 4–5 weeks, the Grove 8–10, and the Old Growth 12–16. We book one project onto the bench at a time, so your dates are held the day the deposit clears.

do you understand healthcare constraints?

We design around the real edges — consent forms, small-print legibility, color contrast for older eyes, and marks that survive a clinic printer. Compliance copy and regulatory review stay with your counsel; we make sure the design never fights them.

what happens if it isn’t right?

Every engagement includes revision rounds baked into the schedule and one more round after final delivery. Because you approve directions at each fork, there are no surprises waiting at the end — and if a direction stalls, we redraw, not upcharge.
